Traditional farm in Organic Agriculture where Norman cows graze the grass under the tall stalk apple trees.
Following a career change, Vincent Gautier and his partner Astrid Maline took over Ginette and Jean-Luc Cenier’s farm in 2021.
Located in the heart of the Pays d’Auge region, the Ferme de la Vallée au Tanneur is typical of this area with its 42 hectares of meadows, including 10 hectares of high-stem orchards on which their Norman cows graze : a truly authentic Norman landscape.
They have chosen organic farming and agroecology. The cows maintain and fertilize the orchard, creating a perfect balance between animal and plant life.
The farm cultivates 20 different apple varieties, each with its own distinct flavor, allowing them to produce a range of Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) products, respecting traditional methods: Pays d’Auge PDO cider, Pommeau de Normandie, and Calvados.
They also produce other high-quality products: cider vinegar and apple juice, which regularly win awards in local competitions.
Located on the Cider Route near Cambremer, the farm welcomes you year-round to discover their cider products.
